Jeff Lewis Says ‘RHOC’ Star Shannon Beador Is Entering Counseling Following DUI: She’s “Ashamed” And “Embarrassed”

Shannon Beador‘s longtime pal Jeff Lewis was just as “shocked” as the rest of us after hearing the Real Housewives of Orange County star was arrested for a DUI and a hit-and-run. According to the radio host, he had “never known” her to “ever ever ever drink and drive.”

While speaking on his Sirius XM show Jeff Lewis Live, Lewis revealed that an “ashamed” and “embarrassed” Beador called him after the incident and said she is “accepting full responsibility,” per Page Six. He also disclosed that she is planning to begin counseling ASAP.

“I am happy to say that she is gonna be entering counseling this week, so I’m happy about that,” he said, before later adding, “I don’t think Shannon is an alcoholic. I think as her close friend, I think she’s going through a lot of personal struggles right now, and I think that she probably has been leaning on alcohol, but I don’t believe she’s an alcoholic.”

TMZ broke the news of Beador’s arrest, which happened on Saturday night (Sept. 16) after she was reportedly found “wasted” while on a walk with her dog. According to sources close to law enforcement, the reality star allegedly drove her car onto a residential property and clipped a house in Newport Beach, California, before driving away, parking in the street, getting out with her dog and trying to make it appear as though she was on a walk.

Beador was ultimately booked on two misdemeanor charges — hit-and-run and DUI alcohol — before getting released without bond.

While Lewis confirmed that she was “in a car accident” and got “injured,” he didn’t dish on more than she was “recovering” from an injury.

Since the news came out, Beador has found herself at the center of many memes. On a recent episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, she claimed that Gina Kirschenheiter was “about to get arrested” for her 2019 DUI and that her children “would’ve gone to Child Protective Services” had she not provided her with the contact information of a friend who “called the D.A.”

Kirchenheiter later denied that she was ever going to be prevented from seeing her children, advising Beador — who didn’t remember making the accusation — to “go fucking check yourself into rehab.”

Meanwhile, social media users couldn’t help but point out the duo’s recent feud in light of Beador’s arrest.

Beador has not yet addressed the incident publicly.
