The Australian Signals Directorate wants to hire nearly 2000 spies within the next decade to mainly combat cyber-attacks.
The ASD says it can’t compete with big techs on pay but if offers better and flexible working conditions.
The spy agency also says it gives recruits a sense of purpose and as they fight cyber criminals, terrorists and nation state adversaries.
