Lismore Mayor speaks on flood-affected residents still ‘living in cars’

Lismore Mayor Steve Krieg says it’s not ideal for people still to be “living in their cars” 10 months on from when the town was hit by devastating floods.
“Some people have moved up to twenty times,” Mr Krieg told Sky News host James Morrow.
“We’ve had over 200 privately owned sites presented to the Northern Rivers Reconstruction Cooperation for potential development.
“Many of those were presented to Resilience six or eight months ago and not one, to the best of my knowledge, has been examined.”
