Government to crack down on migrant exploitation

The federal government will announce a crackdown on the exploitation of migrant workers.

The new rules will aim to prevent abuses of the current system which include banning employers who flout the rules from hiring temporary overseas workers.

An estimated one in six migrant workers receive less than the minimum wage.
