Labor’s ‘ambitious’ plans to combat veteran homelessness

Veterans’ Affairs Minister Matt Keogh considers homelessness a serious priority issue and has an “ambitious” plan to offer a solution – a slice of the $10 billion Housing Australia Future Fund.

“$30 million of that will go to veterans experiencing homelessness and at risk of homelessness – not just with housing itself but with the wrap-around services to support them,” Mr Keogh said.

Mr Keogh said their ambitious plans to tackle this issue can’t be implemented until Labor gets access to the Housing Australia Future Fund.
