Police arrest five people after man, 28, shot during ‘altercation’ between two groups of men at property in Moe in Victoria’s Gippsland region
A man has been left with critical injuries after a shooting in Victoria’s Gippsland region.
Police have been told an “altercation” broke out between two groups of men at a property on Hawker Street in Moe, a town in the Latrobe Valley, on Monday night.
A 28-year-old man was shot during the incident, and rushed to hospital.
Five men have now been arrested, and are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
“At this early stage in the investigation, police believe the parties were known to each other,” police said on Tuesday.
A crime scene has been established, as detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Moe is a town located in the western part of Victoria’s Gippsland region, roughly 130 kilometres east of the Melbourne CBD.
