NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced a bonus payment for families to look for a cheaper energy provider.
Eligible households will receive the $250 on July 1 should the Coalition win the state election in March.
The only requirement is for participants to use the Energy Made Easy website to check if they are getting the best deal on their energy bills.
The NSW Energy Bill Saver initiative is expected to cost around half a billion dollars.
