A welfare boost is on the way for about a million Australians which will include certain young people, students and carers.
Youth allowance payments will increase by between $19 and $41 a fortnight, while Austudy recipients will receive a maximum increase of $41.
The disability support pension for young people will increase by at least $27 and the carer allowance will go up by around $8 a fortnight.
The increase will take effect on January 1.
