Team USA vs New Zealand live score, updates, highlights from FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 game

Team USA will enter the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup as the betting favorite to win the tournament — and for good reason.

The Americans may not have the big names that fans expect to see during Olympic runs, but they will bring plenty of NBA talent to this year’s event, including All-Star guard Anthony Edwards and reigning Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr.

Team USA has already shown that it is capable of dominating international contests, going a perfect 5-0 in exhibition games before the start of the FIBA Basketball World Cup. That slate included impressive wins over Germany and Spain.

Now, the Americans will look to bring that momentum into the group stage of the tournament, starting with a matchup against New Zealand on Saturday.
