‘Australian public is puzzled’: PM is saying to people to vote for the Voice ‘on the vibe’

Opposition leader Peter Dutton says he thinks the Australian public is “puzzled” as to why the Voice to Parliament won’t be designed until after the referendum.

“I think the Voice is an overreach, and I don’t think the Australian public is there in supporting it,” Mr Dutton said during a media conference on Friday.

“The situation the Prime Minister’s proposing at the moment is that he’ll have a Canberra Voice that is going to, I think, not address the problems of Indigenous Australians, particularly in remote regional areas.

“The Prime Minister is saying to Australians ‘just vote for this on the vibe’.”
