Choice Managing Editor Margaret Rafferty says to “be prepared” to compare prices for Boxing Day sales and do some research as some discounts are “not actual bargains”.
“Be prepared and do some research, so often time you’ll see a product deeply discounted, that doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s a bargain,” Ms Rafferty told Sky News Australia.
“We often find in our lab testing that the cheaper products out-perform the more expensive ones.
“It’s very easy to be caught up in the hype of a big discount and think you’re getting a deal when you’re not.”
