NSW Labor vows to make New Year’s Eve views free

Watching New Year’s Eve fireworks from popular locations in Sydney could soon be free if New South Wales Labor wins the state election.

Opposition leader Chris Minns will today announce his promise to waive the revenue from ticketed events, which currently charge up to $70 per person.

The Royal Botanic Gardens, Barangaroo and Hickson Reserve would be among the locations made free.
