What time is UFC 282 today? PPV schedule, main card start time for Jan Blachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev

A former champion and a rising star face off to determine a new UFC light heavyweight champion on December 10. Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev fight for gold at UFC 282.

The fight takes place inside Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena. Champion Jiri Prochazka relinquished the belt after suffering a shoulder injury before his fight against Glover Teixeira.

Blachowicz, who Teixeira beat for the light heavyweight title in 2021, rebounded with a win over Aleksandar Rakic in May. The former champion is the underdog in this fight (+220 per BetMGM), while Ankalaev is the -275 favorite. That doesn’t seem to phase the man with “Polish Power,” who is ready to defy all detractors.

“I’m always an underdog, so I don’t care,” Blachowicz told The Schmo, via MMA Junkie. “I’m just gonna go there and do my job, win the fight, celebrate, and take the belt to Poland again. This is what I want to do, and I will do. I don’t care if I’m the underdog or not.”

Anakalev made his pro debut in 2014. Since losing his UFC debut in 2018 against Paul Craig, Ankalaev has won nine in a row. His last fight was a TKO win against Anthony Smith in July.
