What TV channel is USA vs. Latvia on today? Start time, live stream for 2023 World Juniors game
The United States begin their quest for World Juniors gold today, as the Americans face Latvia in their first game at the 2023 tournament.
The 2022 World Juniors ended shockingly early for the USA.
After winning all four of their group play games, the team was stunned in the quarterfinals, falling to Czechia. After winning gold in 2021, it was an extremely disappointing ending for the team.
Now, the United States has its eyes on getting back to the podium. Returning from the 2022 team are Devils prospect Luke Hughes and Coyotes draft pick, Logan Cooley. Both were top-four picks in their respective drafts and had six points in five games this summer.

Looking at the new members of Rand Pecknold’s team, there are three players who joined Cooley as first-round picks in the last draft — Cutter Gauthier (Flyers), Rutger McGroarty (Jets) and Jimmy Snuggerud (Blues).
Latvia was the feel-good story of the 2022 World Juniors. The country was not supposed to be at the top World Juniors tournament, but when the IIHF banned Russia and Belarus indefinitely from all international competition, it opened a spot for the Latvians.
The country earned its first-ever win in the preliminary round in tournament history, upsetting Czechia in their final group game. It also marked the first time Latvia advanced to the knockout stage, where they lost a tight 2-1 decision to Sweden in the quarterfinals.
