Winless Mets get respite with postponement of Tigers game

The Mets lost to Mother Nature, too.

The Mets, still searching for their first win of the season, tried to wait out a storm that would not relent before Tuesday’s game at Citi Field against the Tigers eventually was postponed.

The game is set to be made up Thursday at 1:10 p.m.

The 0-4 Mets will have to wait until at least Wednesday and potentially Thursday for a chance at their season’s first win.

The storm is expected to continue all day Wednesday.

Thursday was expected to be a mutual off day before the rain intervened.

The teams are not scheduled to face off again this season, so they would have to find another common off day later in the season if Wednesday is rained out, too.
