Leeds United vs. Man City live stream, TV channel, lineups, betting odds for Premier League clash

Manchester City resume their Premier League title defence with a trip to Leeds United on Wednesday, December 28.

Pep Guardiola’s side lost further ground on leaders Arsenal with a shock 2-1 home loss to Brentford in their final match before the World Cup break.

However, City returned to domestic action with a thrilling 3-2 Carabao Cup win over Liverpool on December 22 and Guardiola will have been pleased to see a host of his World Cup stars return in impressive rhythm — most notably Kevin De Bruyne, who claimed a pair of assists.

Two of Leeds’ four Premier League wins this season have come against members of the ‘big six’, with Jesse Marsch’s side claiming victories over Chelsea and Liverpool. Their past two league games each finished 4-3, with Leeds beating Bournemouth before losing to Tottenham Hotspur by the odd goal in seven.

Leeds United vs. Man City lineups

Leeds No.1 Illan Meslier is a doubt as he continues to recuperate from a bout of glandular fever, which could mean a start for Joel Robles. The former Everton man has fond memories of playing against City, having starred in Wigan Athletic’s 1-0 FA Cup final win back in 2013.

Patrick Bamford is a doubt following groin surgery, while influential midfielder Tyler Adams is suspended.

Predicted Leeds XI (4-2-3-1): Robles (GK) — Kristensen, Cooper, Koch, Struijk — Roca, Forshaw — Aaronson, Rodrigo, Harrison — Gelhardt

Ruben Dias is out for a month with a hamstring injury, while Guardiola revealed Kalvin Phillips returned overweight from England duty and the midfielder faces a fight to be involved against his former club.

City have a host of World Cup performers back to call upon, with the exception of Julian Alvarez, who is enjoying an extended break after helping Argentina to glory. Guardiola might be tempted to stick with the bulk of the side that overcame Liverpool last week.

Predicted Man City XI (4-3-3): Ederson (GK) — Walker, Stones, Laporte, Ake — De Bruyne, Rodri, Gundogan — Mahrez, Haaland, Foden

Leeds United vs. Man City betting odds, prediction

Leeds will be hoping to catch out a City squad who turned in more World Cup minutes than any other in the Premier League.

However, last season’s matches give little cause for optimism. City romped to a 7-0 win at the Etihad Stadium a year ago, while Marsch was at the helm for a 4-0 defeat in August.

Prediction: City to win 3-1
